چکیده

Biodiesel from waste sources can be considered as the cheapest and most viable fuel alternative to depleting mineral diesel. In this work, biodiesel has been produced different of oil; grilled chicken oil (GCWO) which is animal based source cooking (WCO) vegetable using transesterification method. The impact variables such temperature, time, amount catalyst on conversion yield were investigated. Produced was characterizes ASTM standard methods for property testing determine properties including; kinematic viscosity, specific gravity, flash point, pour cloud point acid number. Engine test conducted at increasing speed constant load evaluate engine performance fuel. results obtained indicate that bio-diesel are greater than oil. Both within specifications D6751. maximum by 97.76% 94.4% suing GWCO WCO respectively optimum operating 600C 3 h reaction 0.4 wt% potassium hydroxide. show similar trends both biodiesels compared diesel in term brake power (BP) consumption (BSFC) with speed. reduction BP found about 19% 2400 rpm a increase BSFC 17% 1800 Accordingly, though comparable performance, presents higher yield.

Production of biodiesel by enzymatic transesterification of waste sardine oil and evaluation of its engine performance

Waste sardine oil, a byproduct of fish industry, was employed as a low cost feedstock for biodiesel production. It has relatively high free fatty acid (FFA) content (32 mg KOH/g of oil). Lipase enzyme immobilized on activated carbon was used as the catalyst for the transesterification reaction. Process variables viz. reaction temperature, water content and oil to methanol molar ratio were optim...

Enzymatic Alholysis For Biodiesel Production From Waste Cooking Oil

Huge efforts have been carried out in recent years in order to develop an alternative fuel from renewable resources, such as biodiesel fuel. Therefore, the use of cooking oil as raw material is a very interesting alternative for the production of biodiesel. In this work, waste frying oil was used as raw material for enzymatic biodiesel production. Moreover, this study analyzes the influence of ...

Engine Performance Test of Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel

Two cottonseed oil biodiesel samples (cottonseed oil methyl esters, COME) produced in Clemson lab, together with other two commercial cottonseed oil biodiesels were evaluated on their engine performance with the No. 2 diesel fuel as a reference. The results revealed that emission of CO, CO2 and NOx from cottonseed oil biodiesels was lower than that of the No. 2 diesel fuel. CO decreased by 13.8...

Different techniques for the production of biodiesel from waste vegetable oil

The production of biodiesel from waste vegetable oil offers a triple-facet solution: economic, environmental and waste management. The new process technologies developed during the last years made it possible to produce biodiesel from recycled frying oils comparable in quality to that of virgin vegetable oil biodiesel with an added attractive advantage of being lower in price. Thus, biodiesel p...

Biodiesel Production From Rapeseed Oil With Waste Frying Oils

Biodiesel or fatty acids alkyl esters (FAAE) of long chain are an alternative fuel produced by a transesterification process. The potential production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil in Chile is associated to the solution of economic, environmental and social problems. Experiences from other countries have demonstrated that biodiesel prices are higher than diesel, due to the high costs of the ra...
